YAPC::NA 2007 - The early arrivals
As I arrived on Saturday, I was able to get over some of the jetlag. The others who had arrive on Saturday, or early Sunday morning congregated in the foyer of one of the dorms. Originally a few of us were going to try and visit the Space Center, but it didn't happen.
For the evening an Early Arrivals Dinner had been planned. Due to the lack of local transportation infrastructure, some were ferried in attendees cars, others had to grab a cab. The mexican food was a bit thin on the ground, so unless you were quick, you missed out on the best bits. However, it was free soft drinks all night, so seeing as they did't serve Guinness, it did save on the pocket :)
